Pecans are the best…and they’re good for you!
That’s right! They’re incredibly healthy for you…and in so many ways!
I wanted to get into some of the nutritional and beneficial health reasons we should have pecans in our diet.
I won’t get to deep into it…so don’t worry. (I’d love to get more specific and detailed with you, so feel free to message me or comment and we can go into it more.)

1. The Heart Of The Matter
Adding Pecans to your diet can help reduce the risk of stroke and coronary disease!
Pecans contain healthy monounsaturated fats (Oleic Acid) and Phenolic Antioxidants.
This goodness in the Pecan can help balance your HDL (“the good one”) and LDL (“the bad one”) cholesterol levels which in turn helps lower your risk of heart disease!
2. Pecans Will Move You! 
Pecans are packed with healthy, natural fiber!
This healthy fiber helps promote healthy colon function and regular bowel movements without all the bloating and discomfort that can come from artificial fiber supplements.
This in turn will reduce the risk of hemorrhoids and colitis by keeping the gastrointestinal system clean and functioning properly!
3. Pecans Help Put Out The Fires!
Pecans are very rich in Magnesium.
Magnesium is known to have fantastic Anti-Inflammatory benefits!
An increased intake of Magnesium can reduce inflammatory indicators in the body and it has been shown to reduce inflammation in the arterial walls.
The reduction of this inflammation helps reduce the risk of Arthritis, Alzheimer’s Disease, Cardiovascular Disease and other inflammatory issues!

Well, by adding pecans to your diet, you might just slow it down. (and in some cases, even reverse it!)

The L-arginine in pecans helps stimulate blood flow throughout the body and to your hair roots which has been shown to stimulate hair growth.
Lack of Iron in the body can lead to anemia which is a common cause of hair loss.
Pecans are a great source of Iron and consuming Iron rich foods can help combat hair loss!
5. The Best Defense…Is A Strong Defense!
One of the most powerful benefits that pecans help provide is a powerful defense!
The Ellagic acid and Oleic acids found in pecans help to prevent and fight against certain cancers…including Breast Cancer!
Not only that but by keeping the gastrointestinal system clean, they help to prevent colon cancer!

Thanks for the update on the health benefit of pecans. Always felt almonds topped the list but will include pecans for the future, as I need more magnesium.
Certainly enjoy Pure Joy and all bars containing coconut. My husband, a diabetic, appreciates the low sugar content, as do I. So glad our friend introduced Marigold to us!!
